Process:
The American Marketing Association 2023 International Collegiate Conference, was truly an unforgettable opportunity. The ability to network with students from all over the world and connect with professionals with experience that inspires me was truly worthwhile.
One of the sessions that I attended focused on branding in digital marketing. Through this interactive workshop, I could not only stand what a brand is, but also work with my peers to quickly brainstorm verbal and visual branding for a case study business. What was most intriguing was the process of developing branding.
In this case study workshop, we were tasked with developing a name for a bar that is in a laundromat. The first step was to take 2 minutes and list all of the words that we associate with a laundromat, then to do the same but with a bar.
Analyzing our list we then look for where we can combine words, phrases, idioms, metaphors, etc. to establish and eye-catching verbal brand name. Below is a list of some of the ones my group created.

It was such a unique exercise to think about what goes into a brand name, and what psychological factors can help to establish an unforgettable brand name that lasts.
