Abstract: The Center for Marketing Excellence is a potential idea for a building at Merrimack College that would house the Marketing, Communications, and Design departments. It could be a building that allows students to combine their talents to learn, practice, and apply real life skills within the Marketing Industry. In this hypothetical project, I was tasked with the design of a 2D floor plan. Having never developed a floor plan design it was pertinent that I conducted initial research to understand necessary elements. In the final draft, this floor plan works effectively to explain how the building could be structured and what aspects would be housed in it. Lastly to add an element of professionalism I used Merrimack College branding and correct typefaces to develop a floor plan packet that could be used for presentation purposes.
